‘Bojack Horseman’ Season 6: Everything you Want to know

For five seasons, Netflix’s Bojack Horseman has depicted the life of a self-hating and narcissistic alcoholic but at the same time, addresses issues affecting the world at the moment including addiction and depression. Fans all over the world have come to love the story of Bojack, a horse, who makes one bad decision after another.

The series has gained acclaim for its biting portrayal of Hollywood as it is brutally honest on the different issues affecting most people at the moment.

Season 5 saw Bojack sinking deeper into prescription painkillers fueling his addiction and even committing violence, and this surprised many of the fans. However, at the end of season 5, we see him trying to make some changes in his life and identifying his issues, and getting help to try to overcome them.

The show has gotten more ambitious with its themes and it has left fans eager for another season. Fans were left to wonder when Bojack Horseman Season 6 was going to happen.

What to Expect in Bojack Horseman Season 6

It is anticipated that season 6 of Bojack Horseman will be released on October 2019. The regular cast is coming back for the sixth time and it includes Will Arnett, who voices the depressed horse. Alison Brie is Bojack’s one-time interest and ghostwriter called Diane in the series. Aaron Paul voices Bojack’s asexual best friend called Todd. Bojack’s ex-girlfriend and ex-agent Princess Carolyn are voiced by Amy Sedaris. Mr. Peanutbutter, the golden retriever in the series is played by Paul F Tomkins.

Some guest celebrities have worked in previous seasons of Bojack Horseman including Lisa Kudrow, Daniel Radcliffe, Ricky Gervais, Sharon Horgan, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Jessical Biel, and Paul McCartney.

Season 6 starts with Bojack in a rehab center as Diane dropped him off at the end of season 5. This is after the incident where Bojack almost strangled his co-star and then-girlfriend Gina to death. At the end of season 5, Princess Carolyn was adopting a child, and Mr. Peanutbutter proposed to his much younger girlfriend. The previous season ended with Bojack looking confident about quitting the painkiller addiction.

With Bojack in rehab, we anticipate having the season devoted to his time in there. Some fans have speculated that the entire season will be confined there and does not seem like a bad idea. Diane, on the other hand, seems like she could be a casualty in season 6. As much as Diane’s life has been foreshadowed for a while now, she has not been doing great.

Todd’s character has been seen dallying in all the previous seasons and maybe this season is where he gets his life together. He might just complete his rock opera. Princess Carolyn should be settling down in season 6 with her new child and fans should be excited to see how she adjusts as a mother.

Final Words

The show is anticipated to run beyond season 6 as Raphael Bob-Waksberg explained. He said that the show is promising and if Netflix allows them to continue showing it, they are more than willing to expand as the audience is still growing and excited by the show.

Netflix seems to be supportive of Bojack Horseman as their audiences have remained hooked since the first season and this means longevity for the series. Season 5 had some of the best reviews as the characters explored new depths of despair that the audiences never anticipated and this is why Bojack Horseman Season 6 is a series worth following.
